Expect goals in Leipzig

Leipzig’s clash with St Pauli at Red Bull Arena on Sunday promises goals. Over 2.5 goals looks the best bet, with outsiders St Pauli having scored in three games in a row, including a 3-0 win over Union Berlin two weeks ago.

Leipzig are fourth in the Bundesliga, nine places and 12 points above St Pauli, having won nine of their 20 games this season. The visitors are in 13th place with just six wins so far.

St Pauli’s recent Bundesliga results of three wins, one draw and two defeats in their last six outings is decent but this is a tough trip despite Leipzig being shaky in recent weeks.

St Pauli are in good form, but Leipzig may be able to edge them out given the class difference on paper. A 2-1 win for Leipzig is the correct score pick, with St Pauli having gone down by a single goal six times in the Bundesliga this season.
