Real Betis vs Elche Predictions

Betis to start with a win?

Real Betis were a little bit patchy at home last season, winning ten times at Estadio Benito Villamarin in total, including five of the final nine.

The other four ended in defeat though, including 1-0 here against Elche, so Manuel Pellegrini will be desperate to find some consistency for his side this year if they are to get into the top four.

Betis have lost only one of the last five games between these two sides though, and they have strengthened the squad this summer through signing Luiz Felipe (Lazio) and Luiz Henrique (Fluminense).

Tough start for Elche

Although Elche did win here last season, they picked up just four victories in total on their travels, ending the campaign with three defeats in four.

Francisco’s side worryingly conceded 31 times on their travels, twice as much as they scored, and only avoided relegation by four points.

Pre-season has seen them lose of Ibiza and FC Cartagena, while transfer business has been limited, spare for the arrivals of Roger and Carlos Clerc, both from relegated Levante.

I think Real Betis will have enough to start the season with the win, so I’m predicting a home win, but also think it will be tight, with 2-1 my correct score prediction.
