Real Madrid and Both Teams To Score

      Reason for tip

After their setback against Real Betis, Real Madrid responded by beating Inter Milan 2-1 in midweek and they should have too much class for Rayo Vallecano. Rayo have only won one game so far this season, but they have scored in each fixture, so expect them to trouble the scoresheet.

      Real Madrid 2-1

      Reason for tip

Real Madrid have scored two goals in four of their last five games and they should be able to overpower Rayo at the Santiago Bernabeu. However, Los Blancos have only had a few days to prepare for this tie, so they are unlikely to rack up the goals this weekend.

Real Madrid vs Rayo Vallecano Predictions

      • Real Madrid have won four of their first five games this season
      • Rayo Vallecano have only won one match this season
      • Real Madrid are unbeaten in seven games against Rayo

Los Blancos to build on Champions League success

Real Madrid will look to get back to winning ways in La Liga when they welcome Rayo Vallecano to the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday.

Jose Mourinho’s troops fell to their first defeat of the season last week as they conceded late on to lose 1-0 to Real Betis.

Los Blancos had won their first three league games and they showed plenty of heart in their 2-1 win over Inter Milan in the Champions League in midweek.

That victory was impressive considering the manner in which Inter won the Serie A title last season, and Mourinho’s side should build on that display when Rayo visit.

Rayo beat Racing Santander 3-2 last time out, but they were winless in three before that. The Red Sashes have scored in each of their four games and found the net on seven occasions this season, so it would not be a surprise to see them hit the back of the net.

Real Madrid have dominated this fixture in recent years, though, having not lost any of their last seven against Rayo. Their midweek exploits mean they may not rack up the goals, but the recent form of both points to a home win.
