Real Sociedad vs Elche Predictions

Real Sociedad will look to close the gap between themselves and the top six this weekend when they entertain Elche at the Reale Arena.

The White and Blues are only six points outside the top six and Pellegrino Matarazzo’s side have the chance to extend their unbeaten run to 10 matches in all competitions. Sociedad have won five of those matches inside 90 minutes, but keeping clean sheets have been an issue.

They have conceded in 11 consecutive matches, with their last shutout coming in December against minnows Reus FCR in the Copa Del Rey. Their last clean sheet in La Liga came back in September, and Elche have the tools to trouble them.

Elche have the worst away record in the Spanish top flight and they have yet to taste victory on their travels. However, they have scored in six consecutive away trips and have netted 10 times in away matches, which is more than Getafe, Alaves, Valencia, Osasuna and Real Oviedo.

Sociedad are unbeaten in their last seven games against Elche, but the visitors have the ability to cause them problems, especially with the hosts struggling to keep teams at bay this season.
