Red Star Belgrade vs Olympiacos Predictions

Greek Super League leaders Olympiacos will travel to Belgrade for their second Champions League game of the 2019/20 season. They will take on the current leaders of the Serbian Super Liga, Red Star in this Group B clash. The other 2 teams competing in this group are German giants Bayern Munich and last year’s finalists, Tottenham. 

Both teams will see this fixture as an opportunity to pick up crucial points in a tough group. This will be an especially important game for Red Star who lost their opening game. They will want to avoid a second straight defeat, and a defeat in their first home game. 

Olympiacos displayed more quality than Red Star in their opening European game. Red Star would have expected to find it tough away to Bayern for their opening game and they will be determined to show their quality at home to Olympiacos this week. 

Red Star will have no better opportunity to showcase their ability in this group than this Tuesday’s game.

It is clear that Olympiacos are much less threatening away from home, which is encouraging for Red Star. However, Olympiacos are a solid side defensively. They have conceded just 4 goals in all competitions this season. We feel that this game is likely to deliver under 2.5 goals. 

With games against Spurs and Bayern yet to come, Olympiacos will not want to leave Belgrade without all 3 points. Olympiacos have scored in all but one of their fixtures in all competitions this season. We feel that Olympiacos will take a narrow victory from this game. We feel that a 1-0 scoreline is a likely result of this game.
