Hosts are on a mission

The hosts are presented with the task of overturning a 2-0 deficit when they welcome English Premier League outfit Leicester City to Roazhon Park on Thursday night. However, it’s well known that momentum is vital for success and Rennes can be optimistic as they currently boast a five-match winning run on home soil and also romped to a 4-2 victory away at Lyon over the weekend. They’re yet to taste defeat at home in this competition and they will be desperate to dictate the game and limit the ‘Foxes’ to few chances.

Leicester City comes into this one with the 2-0 advantage but their away record in knockout ties over the past five years doesn’t inspire confidence (W1, D1, L2). However, both of those defeats came against sides who have since gone on to win European silverware. But they’ll need to be cautious as they’re conceding too many goals and appear to have lost some of their defensive stability. That’s hardly surprising when you consider they’re without Wesley Fofana, Jonny Evans and Timothy Castagne – three key players in their backline.

A breathtaking matchup in store

This one looks as though it could be a bit of a thriller and is perfectly poised for plenty of goals. As such, we think there will be at least three goals here.
