Rampant Rennes to end Dutch dreams

Anything other than defeat here will see Rennes qualify for the knockout stages of this inaugural Europa Conference League campaign and Rennes are expected to do exactly that as they eye a showdown for the top-spot with Tottenham on the final day. The French outfit are unbeaten at home in Europe this season (W2, D1 – including qualifiers) and they have taken a competition high 85 shots so far in the Conference League. I predict a continuation of Rennes’ relentless shooting here, which is likely to result in goals.

On the other hand, Vitesse have taken the second highest amount of shots so far in the Conference League proper (77) and if that continues here you would also fancy them to at least sneak a goal in what looks to be a tough encounter for the Dutchmen. In fact, Vitesse have won just one of their seven prior clashes with French opposition (D1, L5) and they will need to seriously turn that around if they want to be playing European football beyond winter.

All things considered, I think a home win is a great pick but there looks to be no value in the price. Instead, back the Dutch to at least get a goal in an exciting game between the two most prolific shooters in the Conference League ahead of this round.
