Roma vs Empoli Betting Tips

It feels like so long since we have seen Serie A football. Roma return from the international break having endured something of an up and down start to the season, but ultimately they are just four points shy of top place Fiorentina. They’re still well poised near the top of the table. If Roma can play the way they should, and take advantage of their chances, they are still in good position.

They’ve been taking their chances of late. In fact, they’ve won their last two games against Carpi and Palermo by a combined 9-3 score-line. Those positive results were sandwiched around a disappointing 3-2 loss to BATE in the Europa League.

Empoli haven’t been the easiest team to predict during the 2015-16 season so far. However, they’ll be happy to still be in 14th place in the table. They’re winning enough games to avoid being the absolute worst and that’s just about where they’ll want to be all season.

Their recent form has been patchy. They were beaten by Atalanta and Frosinone, but then pulled a 1-0 win against Sassuolo out of the bag.

We are not convinced by Empoli’s away form and we think Roma have just been slightly more efficient and dominant in Rome. We’ll take a refreshed Roma to be convincing.

2. Midfield dominance

We just can’t see Roma’s midfield not completely dominating and controlling this game. Empoli won’t get into the game enough and it should be a comfortable game for the team.
