Roma vs Leicester City Predictions

• Both teams have netted in eight of Roma’s 11 games in the Europa Conference League

Can Mourinho land more European silverware?

It’s been a topsy-turvy season for Roma, who sit in sixth place in Serie A and are without a win in four in all competitions, but they have been strong at home and are just two wins away from European silverware.

Unusually for a Jose Mourinho side they are not the strongest at the back, with both teams scoring in five of their last seven, as well as eight of their 11 matches in the Conference League.

But the Stadio Olimpico has been a fortress throughout the campaign. Juventus and the two Milan clubs are the only teams to win there this season and they are unbeaten there in ten, a run that includes six wins.

Leicester eying club history

Leicester City have never reached a European final, but a 1-1 draw in the first leg of this tie at the King Power Stadium certainly gives them hope of progressing to the game in Albania.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are on a horrendous run though, winless in five including a 3-1 drubbing at the hands of Spurs on Sunday when they rested numerous players with this game in mind.

The Foxes have been terrible at the back throughout the campaign, and come into this clash having kept just two clean sheets in 12, while both teams score regularly in their away fixtures, including 18 of the last 21.

This will be a really tough game for Leicester, but I think they will get on the scoresheet, with both teams scoring my initial selection, but I predict Roma will go through courtesy of a 2-1 win.
