De Rossi era to begin with a win

Verona have boosted their survival prospects with victories over fellow relegation-candidates Cagliari and Empoli recently, but away from home they have won just once this season and that came at Empoli in their first trip of the campaign.

Since then they have taken two points from a possible 27 and have failed to score in five of those matches. With Roma conceding just five goals in their last 12 home matches and winning to nil on seven occasions, that looks the best bet for Saturday’s tie.
