      Salford City to Win

      Reason for tip

Salford are favourites to beat Accrington at the Peninsula Stadium. After a 2-1 away win over Notts County, they’ve shown scoring consistency, netting in 18 of their last 20 league games. Accrington’s weak defence and slow start make Salford the strong choice for Saturday.

      Salford City 2-0

      Reason for tip

Six of Salford’s 18 league wins last season were by two goals, and Accrington have conceded in eight of their last nine matches. Low-scoring defeats for Accrington and Salford’s attacking form suggest a narrow, comfortable victory.

Salford City vs Accrington Stanley Predictions

Salford to continue their scoring form

Salford are the bet at home to Accrington on Saturday. Karl Robinson’s side can get the better of John Doolan’s visitors at the Peninsula Stadium.

They finished eighth last season, 19 points ahead of Accrington, who ended up 21st. Salford had 18 wins, 15 draws and 13 defeats, while Accrington won 12, drew 14 and lost 20 times.

After a 3-1 opening loss against Crewe, Salford were pleased with their 2-1 win away at Notts County last weekend, having been priced at 12/5 to win the game.

It would be no surprise to see Salford score. They have found the back of the net in 18 of their last 20 league matches.

Accrington have started slowly, drawing with Gillingham and losing 2-0 to Crewe. The visitors have looked vulnerable at the back, failing to keep a clean sheet in eight of their last nine matches.

A 2-0 home win for Salford looks the best correct-score bet. Accrington have played five successive games in League Two with fewer than three goals and lost 2-0 to Crewe in their last game. Six of Salford’s 18 League Two successes last season were by two goals.
