Rangers have only lost one of their last ten Premiership away games and they are the best bet to get an away win at St Mirren on Sunday.

Rangers are third in the league, seven places and 33 points above St Mirren. The hosts are tenth with five wins, nine draws and 15 defeats, while Rangers have won 15, drawn 12 and lost just two.

St Mirren could not break their losing habit last time, losing 2-1 to Dundee United in their last Premiership outing. Marcus Fraser scored the opener for Dundee United by putting the ball in his own net in the eighth minute. St Mirren were priced at 9/5 to win the game but suffered a defeat.

The St Mirren defence has struggled to keep opponents at bay, with the home side failing to keep a clean sheet in ten of their last 12 Premiership games.

Rangers are in form, having gone 12 games without tasting defeat in the Premiership. In contrast, St Mirren have only won one of their last ten league matches and have lost four of their last five, trailing at the break in all of those defeats.

The hosts’ struggles in front of goal are a major concern. St Mirren have been disappointing up front at home this season, scoring only eight goals in 14 league games – an average of 0.57 goals per game – and they have failed to find the net in four of their last five Premiership home matches.

They are out of form, and backing their opponents during their current run of four defeats in five Premiership games would have resulted in a profit of 4.35 units.

A 2-1 away win for Rangers looks a decent correct-score bet. Both sides have scored in 17 of Rangers’ 29 Premiership matches this season, and they were 2-1 winners against St Mirren last time they met.
