Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Sandefjord are yet to keep a clean sheet this season, while six of their last seven outings have seen both teams score. HamKam meanwhile have gone a dozen outings on the road without a clean sheet, while eight of their last ten fixtures (all venues) have seen both teams score.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

Sandefjord recently drew 1-1 with Bodo / Glimt, one of three incidents in their last five outings when they have netted exactly once. HamKam have conceded exactly once in four of their last six away matches, including a pair of 1-1 stalemates.

Sandefjord vs HamKam Predictions

  • Six of Sandefjord’s last seven games have seen both teams score
  • Both teams have also netted in seven of HamKam’s last nine outings
  • Sandefjord are yet to keep a home clean sheet this season

Are Sandefjord turning the corner?

Sandefjord recently suffered three successive defeats, but back-to-back draws against Bodo/Glimt (1-1) and KFUM (3-3) may give supporters reason to be hopeful going forward.

Despite picking up two points across those stalemates, the Boys remain bottom of the Eliteserien, so they can ill-afford to lose this clash against a fellow relegation rival.

However, a run of 12 outings without a clean sheet this season inspires little confidence, although they are beginning to find the back of the net, with six of their last seven outings seeing both teams score.

HamKam in trouble too

While the hosts lie rock bottom, things are not much better for opponents HamKam, who are just one point better off after losing successive league fixtures to Brann (2-1) and Viking (3-0).

They have a problem at the back too, as both teams have scored in seven of their last nine competitive fixtures, as well as six of their last seven matches on the road.

Now in their third season in the top flight, Jakob Michelsen’s side would probably be happy with avoiding the drop again, but to do that they must tighten up a defence who have gone nine away games without a clean sheet.

I predict that both teams will score in this match, and it could be a tight, tense affair, with 1-1 my correct score prediction.
