Another high-scoring clash for hosts

Freiburg have scored in six consecutive Bundesliga games and over 2.5 goals looks the best bet when they host Hamburg at Europa-Park Stadion on Saturday.

They are ninth in the table, four places above Hamburg, with a four-point advantage over the visitors. The hosts have won five, drawn five and lost five of their 15 games this season, while Hamburg have won four, drawn four and lost seven.

Freiburg’s recent Bundesliga form has been inconsistent, with three wins, one draw and two defeats in their last six games. However, they have gone six home games since their last defeat in the league. In contrast, Hamburg have only won on one of their last ten road trips and have lost their last four away games.

Freiburg’s 4-3 win away to Wolfsburg last month kept up their recent pattern of games with over 2.5 goals. SC Freiburg edged to victory to the delight of those who backed them at 13/8.

Both teams are in form going forward. Freiburg have scored in all seven of their home games this season, finding the net at least twice in four of those. Hamburg have also been scoring regularly, netting in six of their last seven league games.

Five of Freiburg’s last six Bundesliga games have ended with over 2.5 goals, and ten of their 15 matches this season have produced three or more goals.

Freiburg may be able to edge out Hamburg in a closely-fought game, with a 2-1 home win the correct-score pick. Both teams have scored in seven of Hamburg’s last nine Bundesliga matches, and there should be goals for both sides here.
