Freiburg can down stuttering St Pauli

Freiburg are the best bet to win at home to St Pauli on Sunday. The visitors are on a three-game losing run away from home in the Bundesliga and could be heading for more problems here.

Both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season. Freiburg are 11th in the league with two wins and three defeats from their nine games, while St Pauli are 15th with two wins and six losses.

St Pauli could not break their losing run last time out, losing 4-0 last weekend to a Monchengladbach side who had gone 15 games without a win. This was a poor outcome for St Pauli, who had been priced at 23/20 to win the game.

The visitors are out of form. St Pauli have gone six Bundesliga games without recording a victory and have not won any of their last three away games.

St Pauli have found goals hard to come by this season, having failed to score in five of their last six Bundesliga matches. They have lost their last four games to nil.

The visitors have been struggling to keep out their opponents this season, with St Pauli failing to keep a clean sheet in 17 of their last 20 Bundesliga games.

A narrow 1-0 victory for Freiburg looks the most likely outcome in the correct-score market. No Bundesliga team has had fewer BTTS games than St Pauli this term, and they were 1-0 losers last time out against Freiburg.
