Scotland vs Denmark Predictions

• Scotland have put together a good run but only after losing three of four clashes against top sides
• Denmark have won all nine of their qualifiers
• The Danes have scored 30 and conceded once along the way

Scotland’s play off place secured

Scotland secured second-place in this group on Friday night and with it they have guaranteed themselves a place in the play-offs for the World Cup. They will hope to build on a five-game winning run in their final game of the year, but this could be a step too far.

The Scots have beaten Moldova (twice), the Faroe Islands and secured narrow wins over Israel and Austria in their great run. However, that came immediately after losing 2-0 away in Denmark. They also lost two of three games at the Euros too, so against quality opposition the Scots still look a little short.

Danes’ perfect campaign to continue

Meanwhile, the Danes went to the semis at Euro 2020 and they’ve qualified for the World Cup in style. Across their last 10 games, they’ve won all of them bar the extra-time semi-final loss to England. The visitors have won nine from nine in qualifying, scoring 30 goals and conceding only once.

That brilliant record points to a victory for the visitors. Neither really have much to play for but it’s hard to see the Danes letting a perfect campaign slip at the final hurdle. They looked a cut above Scotland in September and I’m backing that to be the case again, with an away win and a 2-0 victory my predictions here.
