Serbia to Win and Under 3.5 Match Goals

      Reason for tip

Serbia’s unbeaten start to World Cup qualifying was ended by last month’s heavy defeat to England but they should have enough to bounce back against bitter rivals Albania on Saturday. The visitors showed little in narrow 1-0 successes over Gibraltar and Latvia to suggest they can become the second away team in nine games to beat Serbia.

      Serbia 1-0

      Reason for tip

While Albania look set for defeat in Leskovac, they are unlikely to be blown away. They have conceded just one goal in their last four games and Serbia, who have scored more than once in just two of their last nine outings, may have to settle for a narrow victory.

      Serbia vs Albania Predictions

      • Serbia have lost just one of their last eight home games, winning four
      • Albania have scored more than once in just one of their last 11 matches
      • Serbia had gone five home matches without conceding before last month’s defeat to England

Rivals ready to put it all on the line

An three-game unbeaten run which included two wins and three clean sheets to start their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign will have had Serbia dreaming of finishing top of Group K.

However, their 5-0 thrashing against England last time suggests second may be their best outcome. That routing has left them third, though, with their bitter rivals Albania one point better off, albeit having played a game extra.

The stakes, therefore, are high ahead of Saturday’s clash in Leskovac, where a feisty affair is expected.

      Serbia set for narrow success

The reverse fixture came in June and finished 0-0. Serbia were outplayed in that clash but will be hoping home advantage will tip the balance in their favour, having enjoyed a seven-match unbeaten run on their own patch prior to last month’s defeat to England.

Sasa Lukic’s injury and Nikola Milenkovic’s suspension will make their task harder, though, so while they should have enough to win, it may be a low-scoring success.

Albania will battle hard but 1-0 wins over minnows Gibraltar and Latvia in their last two outings do nothing to suggest they have the firepower to land a positive result in Leskovac.
