Goals look likely at Tallaght

Irish side Shamrock Rovers take on Finnish champions KuPS in the first leg of their Conference League play-off, with a place in the league phase up for grabs. Rovers will be looking to bounce back from their Europa League exit after a dramatic tie with Egnatia. They won the home leg 3-1 before suffering a heavy 5-1 defeat in Albania, with the tie producing ten goals across the two matches.

Stephen Bradley’s side have been particularly dangerous at Tallaght Stadium, scoring three goals in four of their last seven home matches in ninety minutes. They are also enjoying an excellent domestic campaign and currently sit top of the League of Ireland Premier Division.

KuPS are having similar success back home, with the Finnish champions currently once again  top of the Veikkausliiga. They too dropped out of the Europa League. While KuPS haven’t seen as many of their games end with over 2.5 goals, both teams have scored in four of their last five in open looking game with plenty of chances.

Both sides are leading their respective domestic leagues and have shown plenty of attacking quality in Europe and it would be no surprise to see plenty of goals here, with over 2.5 looking a fair price. Rovers should take the initiative on home soil with their excellent recent form and are fancied to win 2-1
