As thing stand in League One right now, despite the recent resurgence of Bolton, it appears as though Sheffield United and Scunthorpe are the front-runners to battle it out for the title. Both of these two have suffered a blip in recent weeks, but it’s Sheffield United who’ve come back stronger and they’ve been looking good.

The bet that catches the eye here is ‘Sheffield United to Score Over 1.5 Goals’. The hosts have been in good scoring form at home of late, while Scunthorpe continue to let themselves down by conceding goals on the road.

The hosts have only lost once in their last six matches at home and that was against the team who’re arguably the most in-form in League One right now. Outside of that Chris Wilder’s men have looked strong. Last time out at Bramall Lane they brushed aside Wimbledon, scoring four in the process. If capable of putting in a similar performance, the home side could make this very tough for Scunthorpe.

Defensively, especially on the road, Scunthorpe haven’t done so well of late. They’ve conceded at least twice in three of their last five away from home. On top of this, the visitors have conceded two or more on eight occasions when playing away this season.

A win here would put Sheffield United eight points in front at the top so they’re fancied to be very much on the ball. Against a Scunthorpe back-line who’ve struggled lately, the team who’re currently at the top of the pile can enjoy a good afternoon going forward.
