Slovakia heavy favourites

Slovakia are on course for the Euros next summer, having picked up 10 points from their opening five games. Their unbeaten start to the campaign was ended by Portugal last week, but they were unlucky to suffer that 1-0 defeat at home.

Monday night sees them at home once again, with bottom side Liechtenstein the visitors. The away side have lost all five games so far, conceding 16 times and scoring just once. Slovakia head into this clash as heavy favourites for the points, but will that translate into the final scoreline?

On the face of it, this looks like a heavy win for Slovakia. However, Liechtenstein have conceded almost half of their goals in one 7-0 loss to Iceland. They conceded 11 times across March’s matches, losing 2-0 at Luxembourg, 2-1 at Bosnia-Herzegovina and 1-0 at home to Slovakia since.

While the visitors remain the minnows of the group, they’ve not been blown away of late. Monday pits them against a Slovakia side who have seen just seven total goals across their five qualifiers.
