Solihull Moors vs Barrow Predictions

  • Currently 5th with a game in hand on most sides, Solihull Moors will be looking to move within 4 points of the league leading visitors with a win on Saturday.
  • Having won 9 of their 11 home matches this season, Solihull will be confident coming into the game.
  • After collecting 47 points from 24 matches, Barrow are thus far enjoying a dream season.
  • Rumours are circulating that manager Ian Evatt is in Grimsby’s sights but for now focus can only be on Saturday’s game

Solihull looking to close the gap at the top

Penned in as something of an outside candidate for promotion at the start of the season, it’s fair to say Solihull Moors’ work in the action we’ve seen so far has been fairly good. Indeed, currently 5th in the table, the hosts have been one of the standout teams in the National League this term.

Solihull’s strength undoubtedly lies on home soil and they can come into Saturday’s game confident as a result. Indeed, the side have won 9 of their 11 home league matches so far and having plunged home an average of 2 goals a game over said fixtures, it’s not hard to see why.

Barrow looking for another strong result

Meanwhile, it’s fair to say not even the most optimistic of Barrow fans could have predicted the side being top of the table as we approach Christmas. Nonetheless, that’s exactly where the side are after taking 47 points from 24 games and they’ve undoubtedly been the strongest team in the league so far.

Boss Ian Evatt is currently being linked heavily to the Grimsby job but for now, all attention can only be on continuing excellent recent form. Coming into Saturday’s game having won 13 of their last 15 National League matches, Barrow have real momentum behind them and won’t be travelling in apprehensive state.

Excitement is expected

Ultimately, we’re expecting Saturday’s game to be a very open and exciting match. Both sides are fighting at the right end of the table and the stakes are fairly high even at this stage of the campaign, with Solihull viewing the fixture as a chance to make ground and Barrow as an opportunity to assert dominance at the top.

All things considered, we really like the look of backing the Over 2.5 Goal line and feel it provides excellent value at current odds. Solihull have scored at least twice in their last 9 home games, Barrow have done the same in their last 12 away games and that leads us to believe a 2-2 draw could well be on the cards in what should be an evenly contested affair.
