Southampton vs Hull City Predictions

Southampton look the best bet when they take on Hull at St. Mary’s Stadium on Saturday. This is another tough test for Southampton, who have had to face the likes of Middlesbrough and Millwall – two of the top five – in recent games, and they took one point from those games.

Hull are eight places and eight points above Southampton, with seven wins, four draws and three losses from their 14 games so far.

Southampton have been impressive defensively at home this season, conceding just 11 goals in 12 Championship games – an average of 0.92 goals per game.

Southampton are in good form at home, having gone six games unbeaten since their last defeat in the Championship. They have lost just one of their last ten home games in the league.

They may be able to edge out Hull in a close game, with a 2-1 home win the correct-score pick. Of Southampton’s eight wins in the league this season, three were by a 2-1 scoreline, and 17 of their 26 matches have produced over 2.5 goals.
