Sporting to take another step towards the title

Sporting Lisbon host Nacional this weekend knowing a win at Estadio Jose Alvalade would take them one step closer to securing another Primeira Liga title. 

Lisbon remain unbeaten this season and are now just five games away from an invincible season as well as four wins away from securing the championship. They’ve stuttered a little in recent weeks with three draws in their last five games but are still on track to beat Porto to top spot.

Nacional are bottom of Primeira Liga, having lost ten in a row prior to their victory over Guimaraes last week. Things are so tight at the bottom of the league that even despite their horrific run, they are still only six points from safety.
