St Pat’s hoping to close the gap

St Pat’s currently sit in fourth place in the table, just outside of the European spots, with their strong home form keeping them in touch with the top three.

Tim Clancy’s side have only lost three times in their last 11 matches at Richmond Park, with six of those games ending in victory.

More broadly, they are on a run of just three defeats in 10 at all venues, while the April meeting between these two sides in Dublin ended 0-0.

Dundalk struggling on the road

It is remarkable that Dundalk sit in second place in the table, given they have still only won twice on the road this season.

In fairness, Stephen O’Donnell’s side have also only lost three times, meaning six games have ended in draws, but only one win has been picked up on their travels against a team in the top half of the table.

They will however keep the game tight, given there have been just 17 goals in their 11 away fixtures, so expect this to go down to the wire.

I predict St Pat’s double chance for insurance, as I do feel they could get a result, but 1-1 is my correct score prediction.
