Both Teams To Score
Draw 1-1
Tip Reasoning
- Stevenage have scored nine goals across their last four games, but conceded six.
- Harrogate at least found the net in two thirds of their away league games.
- Both teams scored in four of Stevenage’s last five home games.
Resurgent Stevenage have made their point
The outlook at Stevenage was bleak a mere four rounds ago, the hosts had gone four straight league games without scoring once, only to go four games unbeaten to this point while scoring nine times in the process, including the first goal in each of those games.
This purple patch has moved Stevenage comfortably away from the drop zone, but they can now look towards the top-half as they sit only five points behind opponents Harrogate, albeit having played three more games than their visitors.
Harrogate are blowing hot and cold
Fans of Harrogate town will be hoping their side have turned the corner after ending a sour five-game winless run of league games with a barnstorming 3-0 success over Oldham last time out. However, they must now fix their away league form after conceding six straight goals without reply.
Encouragingly, Harrogate are amongst the strongest away sides in League Two (W5, D2, L5) and they will surely be reeling from their second set of back-to-back away league defeats this term. However, the last time they recorded consecutive away losses, they followed up with a 3-1 win.
Overall, I think this game has potential for action at both ends and as such I am backing both teams to score as my main prediction. Harrogate don’t draw many games but this one could be tight with both sides likely ending up in the mid-table slew.
