Goals in short supply when Potters host QPR

Three of Stoke’s last four games have ended with under 2.5 goals, and eight of the last nine Championship meetings between these sides have finished with under 2.5 goals.

QPR are five places above Stoke in the table but both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season. QPR have 11 wins and 15 losses, while Stoke have nine wins and 17 defeats.

Stoke have lost four of their last six Championship matches, but did beat Blackburn 1-0 in their last home game. QPR have not won any of their last five away games and have won just one of their last seven overall.

Stoke lost 1-0 to Millwall two weeks ago in their last Championship game, which was the third time in four matches that they have been involved in a game with under 2.5 goals. Priced as 13/5 outsiders to win, they suffered a narrow defeat.

Six of Stoke’s last eight home games in the Championship have ended with under 2.5 goals, and the last four times that QPR have visited in the league have also produced under 2.5 goals.

QPR have drawn 12 matches in the Championship this season and seven of them have finished 1-1, and a stalemate could be on the cards here. These sides also drew 1-1 last time they met in the Championship.
