Swansea City vs West Bromwich Albion Predictions
- Swansea have lost just one of their six home league games this season (W2, D3).
- The Swans have also lost just one of their last seven Championship starts overall, with four of those matches ending level.
- West Brom have lost just one of their six away trips this season (W3, D2).
Swans sturdy at The Liberty
Swansea City enhanced their solid home form with a resounding 3-0 success over Welsh rivals Cardiff City on Sunday and Russell Martin’s men may be capable of holding automatic promotion contenders West Brom at The Liberty Stadium in midweek.
The Swans have lost just one of their six home matches in the league this term, and despite still sitting 17th in the table, they’ve been much improved over the last few weeks following an awful start to the campaign.
Russell Martin’s men have lost just one of their last seven outings overall, and with four of those games ending all square, The Swans could be set for another stalemate when they entertain the second placed Baggies on Wednesday evening.
Value in the stalemate
The draw certainly offers greater value than an away victory here based on Swansea’s recent results, and the fact that WBA have dropped points in half of their away trips this term.
While Valerien Ismael’s side are second in the standings and have won three of their last four, the even money about their chances this week is a touch on the short side based on their travelling record and how tough their opponents are proving themselves to be on their own turf.
We expect this to be a tight affair, though there should be goals at both ends with City scoring in four of their last five and WBA failing to net in just two of their dozen league starts this season. As such, 1-1 appeals as the natural selection in the correct score market for the action in south Wales.
