Burnley to Win

Reason for tip

Burnley are unbeaten in 11 away games and boast a rock-solid defence, conceding just six goals on their travels all season. They should have too much quality for a mid-table Swansea side.

Burnley 1-0

Reason for tip

Burnley have kept nine clean sheets in their last 11 away games, and Swansea have been in low-scoring matches recently. A narrow 1-0 win for the visitors looks like a strong bet.

Swansea City vs Burnley Predictions

Clarets can enhance promotion hopes

Burnley are pushing hard for automatic promotion and a return to the Premier League and they should be backed away to Swansea on Saturday. Scott Parker’s side are unbeaten in their last 11 away games in the Championship and will be confident of getting a result at the Liberty Stadium.

Burnley are third in the league, 13 places and 31 points above Swansea. The hosts are 16th with 12 wins and 17 defeats from their 37 games this season, while Burnley have won 20 and lost just twice.

Swansea’s recent form is hard to gauge, with two wins, one draw and three defeats in their last six games. They beat Blackburn 3-0, but also lost to Watford, Stoke and Sheffield Wednesday.

Burnley have been impressive defensively away from home this season, conceding just six goals – an average of 0.33 per game from 18 matches. They have kept nine clean sheets in their last 11 Championship away games.

Burnley have won the last two Championship meetings with Swansea by the odd goal and a 1-0 win for the visitors looks on the cards. Swansea lost 1-0 to Watford in their last league game and six of their last eight have ended with under 2.5 goals.
