Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Tottenham are out of form but they have at least been scoring. Both teams have scored in each of their last three games and Spurs have scored themselves in 11 of their last 12. Palace are on a 10-game scoring streak but they have just one clean sheet in their last nine away from home across all competitions. With both defences looking vulnerable and both attacks looking capable, backing both teams to score is a strong play in this Thursday night fixture.

Draw 2-2

Reason for tip

Thursday represents a chance for Igor Tudor to claim his first points as Spurs boss but he may have to settle for just the one, with a 2-2 draw looking a reasonable correct score prediction. Tottenham have conceded at least twice in five straight games and exactly twice in four of those. Meanwhile, Palace have conceded more than once in four of their last seven league games so there is the potential here for a high-scoring draw.

Richarlison To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Richarlison scored for Spurs in the 2-1 defeat to Fulham and should return to the starting side for the first time since recovering from injury on Thursday. He saw a goal chalked off in the reverse fixture earlier this season, and he looks a contender for an anytime effort for the hosts.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace Predictions

  • Tottenham have scored in 11 of their last 12 games.
  • Palace have scored in 10 consecutive games.
  • The Eagles have won just one of their last nine road games.

Spurs desperately need to stop the rot

Tottenham sit just four points clear of the drop zone after a run of four straight defeats and they face a tricky assignment on Thursday as a resurgent Crystal Palace side visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Eagles have eased their own drop fears in recent weeks and they now sit 10 points clear of the bottom three. Palace did appear on course for at least a point at Old Trafford over the weekend after Maxence Lacroix gave them an early lead, but the Frenchman’s sending early in the second off turned the game around as they slipped to a 2-1 loss.

Palace will be without the suspended Lacroix on Thursday, Spurs have a lengthy injury list and Cristian Romero serves the final game of a four-match ban when Palace visit.

Both teams to score the obvious starting point

Spurs are in the midst of a woeful run and the arrival of Igor Tudor as manager hasn’t seen any signs of improvement as yet, with two defeats in as many games under the Croatian.

Palace are the team in better form but their road results have been less encouraging and the best angle for this fixture looks to be backing both teams to score, rather than focus on a result.

Spurs may be struggling but scoring hasn’t been their major issue as they have failed to score in just one of their last 12 games. Palace are on a 10 game scoring streak, and with both sides missing a few key players at the back there should be vulnerabilities for both attacks to exploit.

Tottenham have seen both teams score in each of their last three games, while both teams to score has been a winning bet in five of Palace’s last seven league games.

Spoils could be shared in North London

Thursday represents a chance for Tudor to claim his first points as Spurs boss but he may have to settle for just the one, with a 2-2 draw looking a reasonable correct score prediction.

Spurs have suffered eight home defeats this season but only one of those losses has come against a side who went into the midweek round of fixtures in the bottom half, while Palace have won just one of their last nine road games across all competitions.

Tottenham have conceded at least twice in five straight games and exactly twice in four of those. Meanwhile, Palace have conceded more than once in four of their last seven league games so there is the potential here for a high-scoring draw.

Richarlison scored for Spurs in the 2-1 defeat to Fulham and should return to the starting side for the first time since recovering from injury on Thursday. The Brazilian saw a goal chalked off in the reverse fixture earlier this season, and he looks a contender for an anytime effort for the hosts.
