Willem II to bolster survival hopes

Willem II sat second bottom of the standings when Zeljko Petrovic was appointed manager in January and the new coach lost two of his first three matches in charge, including a 6-0 home defeat to Utrecht.

However, the Tilburg club have only lost two of their eight games since that hammering and will head into the weekend sitting a point above the relegation-playoff position.

Petrovic has undoubtedly overseen an improvement at Willem II, particularly away from home, as they have lost just one of their last four on the road.

That sequence includes a victory at Sparta Rotterdam and a draw at high-flying Vitesse, although Willem II have still picked up the fewest away points in the Eredivisie this season (8).
