Will Valencia make it back-to-back wins?

Staggeringly, Valencia have not won successive La Liga matches since the start of March last year, so they will be desperate to end that miserable record after beating Elche 2-0 last time out.

That was a third victories in seven fixtures for Rubén Baraja’s side, with two of those successes coming at the Mestalla.

They remain in the relegation zone and are hampered by injuries to major players such as Justin Kluivert, but are potentially finding momentum at the right time, especially after one defeat in their last four home games.

Real Valladolid not safe yet

Real Valladolid are five points above Valencia in the table, so defeat in this game would certainly drag them right back into trouble.

The away form is a particularly concern for the White and Violets, given they have lost six of their last nine matches on the road, failing to score in five of those defeats.

If they’re looking for a positive, new boss Paulo Pezzolano seems to have found a tune out of his side, given they have won back-to-back games, but he remains without numerous key players, such as defender Lucas Olaza.
