Valerenga vs Lillestrom Predictions

• Valerenga have nine points from six home games (W2, D3, L1).

Valerenga can put pressure on top two

Lillestrom lost three of their first four games but have hit some form of late and are unbeaten in their last five ahead of Sunday’s trip to Valerenga, with four wins and one draw.

Valerenga, who sit in third spot in the Eliteserien, are also unbeaten in five with three draws and two wins and this may well be a close contest at the Intility Arena.

Enga have nine points from six home games so far and have only been beaten once, by a strong Kristiansund side in May, and have two wins and two draws in their last four at their Oslo base.

Lillestrom have picked up four points from four away fixtures so far, although a draw in their last away game at bottom club Brann will have been viewed as a disappointing result.

The four points the Fugla have managed on their travels have come from teams currently in the bottom four in Norway’s top flight and Lillestrom’s unbeaten run may be ended by Valerenga on Sunday.

Both teams have scored in all of Valerenga’s home games this season and that pattern could well continue.  Lillestrom may be in good form but most of their success has come at home and we feel Valerenga can edge this fixture with a 2-1 victory.
