Vitesse test for Spurs

Tottenham have hit a bit of form after recording a third straight win at the weekend and they can make it four in a row when they head to Vitesse in the Europa Conference League on Thursday.

Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo has used this competition as a chance to rotate his squad but even with a few fringe men and youngsters on display the Premier League club should still have the quality to pick up a win here.

Vitesse have been in good form themselves with two wins in their last two games, including a success over Feyenoord, but they were beaten by Rennes at home in their last game in this competition.

Spurs haven’t been at their best on their travels in this competition as they lost in Portugal to Pacos Ferreira in qualifying and then drew at Rennes in their group stage opener.  Spurs are the odds-on favourites to win so to get a bit more value out of this fixture an away win with both teams to score looks to have a chance here. 

Tottenham have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their last five away games in all competitions since a 1-0 win at Wolves in their first trip of the season. Vitesse have scored in five of their six home games, while both teams have scored in both of Spurs’ ECL group stage fixtures so far.  Tottenham have been in good scoring form over the course of their last three games with 10 goals in total so a 3-1 win for the visitors is my pick in the correct score market.
