Yeovil vs Hartlepool Predictions

It’s been a bit of a horror show for Yeovil this season and despite winning on the opening day the side have sunk down the table and they currently sit in the drop zone in 23rd place. That opening day victory was followed up with a very credible draw against in form Luton Town so their run of four successive defeats following that has come as a bit of a surprise. Last weeks heavy 3-0 defeat to Blackpool will set the alarm bells ringing at Huish Park as prior to that they were on a bad run but they always looked capable of a result, so after such a resounding loss it may be time for them to re-asses their approach.

Speaking of resounding losses there aren’t that many that rank higher than Hartlepool’s 6-1 defeat to Stevenage last week. It’s been a funny season so far for Craig Hignett’s men as on paper they looked to have recruited very well but, as we all know, football isn’t played on paper and Hartlepool find themselves in a familiar position in the lower half of the league. Hignett will be keen to mark last week’s result as a bad day at the office and move on as quickly as he can but he would be foolish to ignore the defensive frailties that were highlighted so we should probably expect them to approach this match in a bit more defensive manner.

Last week’s heavy defeat will probably go one of two ways, it will either spiral out of control and cause further heartache for Hartlepool or it will light a fire under them and cause them to kick into action. We like to focus on the positive and are backing Pool to bounce back, a bet which is available at 2/1 with bet365.
