Albania vs Serbia Betting Tips

That first meeting was ultimately and fairly controversially awarded as a 3-0 win to Albania and to add insult to injury the Serbs were deducted 3 points to all but crush their dreams of qualifying for Euro 2016. Their form on the pitch hasn’t done them any favours either though and they’ve lost both games against Denmark, the side who they were expected to battle it out with for a top two finish as well as a defeat in their only game with Portugal so far.

As it is Albania have filled that void and have got an excellent chance of qualifying for their first international tournament and they could achieve that on Thursday night. If they beat Serbia and Denmark fail to win in Portugal, then Albania will be at Euro 2016, something few would have predicted when qualifying got underway a year ago.

Serbia may have little to play for here having already been eliminated but make no mistakes they will very motivated in this game after what happened in Belgrade a year ago. Although the league table would suggest otherwise they do possess the squad with more quality in it and all the pressure will be on Albania here with qualification within touching distance.

If the Serbian players can keep their heads, which should be possible given they have more players with big game experience then they might just be able to crash Albania’s party. Certainly they look good value at 2.100 in the Asian Handicap market (+ 0.0).

Despite their recent improvements Albania have only won 6 of their last 20 competitive home games and just 1 of their last 5 and they were beaten by Portugal at the Elbasan Arena only last month.

That game finished in a 1-0 win to the visitors and this has been a very low scoring group. Albania have only conceded 3 goals so far but they’ve only scored 4 when you ignore the 3 they were awarded in Serbia.

This is sure to be tense and it could get ugly but if there is to be a winner consider backing Serbia to nick it 1-0 at 11/2.
