Andorra vs Faroe Islands Predictions, Betting Tips and Match Previews

Andorra managed to break out of their winless streak back in February as they played possibly the worst friendly in the history of international football when they faced off against fellow minnows San Marino. The two teams are ranked outside the bottom 200 nations in the world.

This followed on from defeats to Latvia, Portugal, Switzerland, and Hungary in the World Cup qualifiers, leaving them predictably bottom of the table with zero points to their name. Coincidentally that is exactly how they finished Euro 2016 qualification, and considering they have already lost their easiest game of the campaign, it looks like it will be another zero point tally for them this time round.

Andorra’s victory in February ends a 13 year wait for a win, a record which stretches a huge 86 matches and has seen them lose 80 times. Let’s just say they’re not expected to be making it consecutive victories here.

Faroe Islands aren’t exactly world beaters, but they are 118 places above Andorra in the FIFA rankings and have picked up four points from their four qualifying matches so far. These points came from a victory away to Latvia and a draw at home against Hungary, and whilst they aren’t expected to be anywhere near qualifying for the World Cup, they will be hoping to outdo Latvia and finish 4th.

They followed their successful opening to the campaign with a heavy 6-0 defeat to Portugal and a 2-0 loss in Switzerland, meaning they have now won two, drawn one, and lost three of their last six outings.

Andorra actually manage to be worse at home than they are away. They have lost their last 35 matches on home soil and have failed to score in 27 of them. Faroe Islands, meanwhile, have won four of their last ten away games. I can’t see anything but an away win here, and considering Faroe Islands beat Latvia 2-0, backing a Faroe Islands -1.0 Asian Handicap win at 2.040 looks incredible value. I’m going for that alongside a 2-0 correct score predictions at 5/1.
