Hosts look value to beat downcast Bremen

Fortuna Dusseldorf host former Bundesliga giants Werder Bremen on Saturday as they look to build on their opening win.

Rheinlander made a terrific start to the campaign as they aim to better their fifth-place finish of last season, coming away from Sandhausen with a 2-0 victory.

Werder, on the other hand, were not superior to Hannover in a 1-1 home draw that casts some early doubts on their credentials to bounce back at the first attempt.

They have lost of top-flight quality in their ranks, but may still be short on collective confidence after suffering the drop.

Away form was a big problem for Werder last season – particularly during the run-in when they lost four on the trot – and we expect those travel troubles to continue at Merkur-Spiel Arena.
