While Getafe were able to claim a point at home to Barcelona in their opener, they didn’t offer a lot and benefitted from the Catalans looking poor. That was evident after their second game, where they lost 3-0 at Girona.

The hosts have looked poor since losing striker Enes Unal. Getafe have won just one of the last 11 games they have played without Unal in LaLiga (D5 L5) and he’s still missing for Monday’s clash with Alaves.

Visitors chase another win

Alaves won a thriller on Monday, beating Sevilla 4-3. That continued a good start for the newly promoted side, as they dominated their opener away to Cadiz only to lose 1-0. However, their good displays going forward should bring some confidence ahead of this visit to goalless Getafe.

Alaves should be able to make a breakthrough here and it’s tough to see Getafe matching them going forward. Considering the hosts’ woeful start, look to an away win.
