Hosts can hold Bilbao to eighth draw in ten

Huesca desperately need a result from this Wednesday’s clash against Athletic Bilbao to aid their survival chances and could well snatch a point with the visitors drawing seven of their last nine.

Pacheta’s side remain third bottom after suffering their fourth defeat in five away to Cadiz at the weekend (2-1), though they’ve performed well on their own turf of late.

Huesca have lost just one of their last four at El Alcoraz and managed to beat Bilbao’s Basque rivals Real Sociedad 1-0 here last time out.

Overcoming Los Leones will be difficult considering the visitors are unbeaten in nine La Liga fixtures, but with so many of those games ending all square, a draw certainly looks the most likely result in Aragon this Wednesday.

Bilbao’s fixtures rarely produce bundles of goals and with all but five of Huesca’s 17 home starts this season producing under 2.5, we’re also tipping up a goalless stalemate as avoiding defeat will surely be the priority for the hosts.
