IK Brage vs Orgryte Predictions, Betting Tips and Match Previews

Last season Orgryte won their relegation play-off to maintain their status in Sweden’s second tier and now they’re the champions elect, which just goes to show you how much can change in a year. This weekend Orgryte make the trip to Borlänge to face Brage sitting five points clear at the top of the Superettan table. The visitors can’t afford to slip up though as the second and third placed sides both have a game in hand over the table toppers. Brage’s goal this season is to remain in the Superettan after earning promotion to the second tier after winning the Division 1 Norra title.

Five years have passed since these two clubs last locked horns on a football pitch, and that season both teams were relegated from the Superettan. Brage played the role of hosts that day and were unlucky not to claim all three points against an Orgryte side that were poor going forward. Heading into the latest encounter it’s the visitors Orgryte who claim the title of form favourites, after the league leaders picked up an impressive five wins and suffered just one defeat from their last six matches. Brage haven’t won any of their last six matches, but have only been beaten once as well, with the remaining four games ending in stalemates. The hosts are the clear form favourites, have more goals in them, and a stronger defence, which is why were backing Orgryte to take all three points on Saturday. Alexandersson top scores for the hosts this season with four Superettan goals, while teammates Lundin and Mayambela have chipped in with two, though the latter has picked up an injury and might not feature on Saturday. Midfielder Montiel has had a fantastic start to the new season and leads the way in front of goal for Orgryte with seven in the Superettan already.

We’re confident that Orgryte will continue their good form with another victory on Saturday against a Brage side that can’t buy a victory at this moment in time. The visitors have outscored and out defended their hosts this season and we can see the same pattern emerging this weekend via a narrow 1-0 victory for Orgryte.
