Liverpool vs Leicester City Predictions

  • Liverpool have won and conceded in five of their last six games.
  • Leicester have scored 18 goals in ten games this season.
  • Liverpool have won 3-1 in four of their last six matches.

Liverpool make flying start to the season

Liverpool made it six wins in succession against West Ham at the weekend and should be able to carry their form into the Carabao Cup, although a clean sheet against an in-form Leicester side may be beyond them.

Jurgen Klopp’s side opened their campaign with a draw at Chelsea but since then it’s been plain sailing for the Reds, with six wins from six and 16 goals scored in this period.

However, they have kept only one clean sheet this season and come up against a Foxes outfit leading the way in the Championship after winning for the ninth time in all competitions this season on Saturday.

Gakpo can fire rotated Reds to victory

Liverpool, even rotated, will be a much greater challenge than any they have faced since their relegation, though. A loss is on the cards for the visitors, but with 18 goals scored in ten games they should be able to grab a consolation against a fragile home back line.

The hosts have scored exactly three goals in five of their last six games and have won 3-1 four times, so a Liverpool win and both teams to score alongside a 3-1 correct score prediction appeals.

Cody Gakpo could be the best option in the anytime goalscorer market. With Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez starting at the weekend, Gakpo should be in line to return to the starting lineup on Wednesday and the young Dutchman has found the net in each of his last three starts for club and country.
