Only a win will do for City

Manchester City have hit what is a bit of a rough patch in form by their standards but it is hard to see them dropping points against Wolves on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola’s men found themselves 2-0 down at home to Tottenham in midweek before rallying to claim a 4-2 victory.

The defending champions are five points behind current leaders Arsenal and they’ve played a game more, but they have a chance to put a bit of pressure on the Gunners as they take on Manchester United later on Sunday.

Wolves could be good for a goal

Clean sheets have become a bit of an issue for City as they have conceded in each of their last three games, and in three of their four home fixtures since the World Cup.

Wolves have scored in six of their eight games since Julen Lopetegui took charge, and in each of their last six away games in a run that predates his arrival – so they may be able to find a way through in Manchester and a home win with both teams scoring appeals as the main bet.

Mahrez in form for City

Riyad Mahrez scored twice in the win over Spurs, meaning he has five goals in total in his last four games. The Algerian also had an assist against Tottenham and looks a good candidate for a goal against Wolves.

A 3-1 win for City appeals in the correct score market as City average 3.5 goals-per-game at home in the league, and Wolves have only conceded more than three goals once across all competitions this season.
