Draw

Reason for tip

It could be tough to split two sides in excellent form and the draw appeals as a value option for this high-profile encounter. Napoli are 13 games unbeaten at home in the Champions League, while Real have an excellent record against Italian opponents.

Draw 2-2

Reason for tip

With so much attacking talent on the field, it would be a major surprise if there weren’t goals at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. Napoli ace Victor Osimhen has scored in his last two games, while Jude Bellingham has been in great for form Real, who also have Vinicius Jr back.

Napoli vs Real Madrid Predictions

  • Napoli are unbeaten in their last 13 Champions League home games
  • Real Madrid have won their last seven Champions League games in Italy
  • Real Madrid have scored in their last 12 games, while Napoli have netted in seven of the last eight

Scudetto holders finding some form

Napoli and Real Madrid both left it late to open their Champions League campaigns with wins on Matchday 1 but may find it tough to follow up those victories.

Both sides head into this clash in Naples in fine form with the home side having thrashed Lecce 4-0 on Saturday, their second win in a row in which the reigning Italian champions scored four goals.

Victor Osimhen has scored in each of those matches, the Nigerian’s performance having seemingly been unaffected by the recent well-documented fallout between himself and the club.

With Osimhen firing, Napoli should prove a handful, particularly at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, where they haven’t lost in this competition since the 2017/18 season.

Napoli have lost just once all season – a surprise 2-1 home reverse to Lazio – with Real Madrid having also slipped to a single defeat.

Real running on Bellingham power

Los Blancos’ defeat came at the hands of Atletico Madrid but they’ve put that defeat behind them with wins over Las Palmas and Girona.

The 3-0 win over a previously unbeaten Girona side sent Real top of La Liga and was their eighth victory in nine games this season.

Jude Bellingham bagged his seventh of campaign against Girona having netted a stoppage-time winner in Real’s first Champions League game against Union Berlin.

The England midfielder would appear the standout threat for Real, but their attacking options have also been boosted by Vinicius Jr returning from a small injury layoff recently.

With so much attacking talent on show, it would be a surprise if both teams don’t find the net in what sets up to be an entertaining contest.

Real have an excellent record against Italian opponents, winning 14 of their last 15 games, but they have been a little inconsistent away from home in the Champions League more recently, winning just seven of their last 23 games.

Two of Napoli’s last five games have ended as draws and they may have to settle for a share of the points once more against Real.
