Football Betting Tips
Mega Accumulator Tip
Aston Villa are just four points off the Premier League top spot and have won 12 of their last 13 home games. They face a Brentford side that excel at home, but the Bees have the 16th-best Premier League away record and have lost eight of their 11 trips.
Atalanta are in strong all-round form and look well placed to pick up another away win at Como. Gian Piero Gasperini’s side come into this off the back of a dominant 4-0 win over Parma and have now scored in ten of their last 11 Serie A matches. They have also tightened up defensively, keeping five clean sheets in their last seven league games. Add in six wins from their last eight away trips, and Atalanta look the more reliable option.
Celtic matches at Parkhead have been delivering goals, and this looks another strong candidate. Over 3.5 goals has landed in six of Celtic’s 11 home games in the Scottish Premiership this season, while five of their last seven league matches overall have featured at least four goals. Celtic’s recent 2-2 draw with Hearts continued that trend, and with Falkirk also in decent form, this has the feel of an open, attacking contest.
Toulouse are well placed to extend Auxerre’s miserable run, with the hosts nine places and 17 points better off in Ligue 1. They have won four of their last five league games and are carrying an attacking threat, scoring at least twice in four of their last six matches. Auxerre are winless in nine away games and have lost eight of their last ten on the road.
Go Ahead Eagles have seen both teams score in seven of their last eight games, and they head into this clash having scored in all but two of their trips. Volendam have conceded 35 goals in 20 matches, but they’ve only failed to score once at home.
Sociedad have hit some form with three successive La Liga wins, while they are on a seven-game unbeaten run across all competitions. La Real are facing a Bilbao side who were dumped out of the Champions League on Wednesday and have managed just one win in normal time in their last 11 across all competitions, so the visitors look capable of securing maximum points in the Basque derby.
Bet of the Day Tip
Aston Villa are just four points off the Premier League top spot and have won 12 of their last 13 home games. They face a Brentford side that excel at home, but the Bees have the 16th-best Premier League away record and have lost eight of their 11 trips.
Bet to Net Accumulator Tip
Morgan Rogers has been one of Aston Villa’s standout players this season and he found the net again in midweek. He has six goals and two assists in his last 11 appearances and has scored twice in four Premier League meetings with Brentford.
Bryan Mbeumo has been the star of the show for Manchester United since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, scoring in wins over Manchester City and Arsenal. He has four career goals against Fulham and can continue his purple patch on Sunday.
While Erling Haaland is back among the goals, Rayan Cherki has found his scoring touch with three goals in his last five games and can celebrate a successful strike.
Mikel Oyarzabal scored twice for Sociedad in the win over Celta Vigo last time out and was also on target in the win over Barcelona. He can extend his scoring streak to three games in Bilbao.
Premier League Accumulator Tip
Aston Villa are just four points off the Premier League top spot and have won 12 of their last 13 home games. They face a Brentford side that excel at home, but the Bees have the 16th-best Premier League away record and have lost eight of their 11 trips.
Manchester United have looked a transformed side since Michael Carrick took the reins, picking up sensational wins over Manchester City and Arsenal. They have won three of their last four Premier League home meetings with Fulham, and the Cottagers have lost two of their last four away days.
Nottingham Forest have won their last two games by an aggregate scoreline of 6-0 and will be looking to build on this momentum against Crystal Palace, who are winless in 11 matches and have lost four of their last five away games.
Tottenham have won just one of their last ten home league games and City can build on victories over Wolves and Galatasaray to come out on top of a game that features two or more goals.
Experts' Accumulator Tip
James: Villa have won 12 of their last 13 at Villa Park in all competitions, and they should be too strong for Brentford, who have picked up just nine points on their travels.
Jack: Endrick scored a hat-trick in last Sunday’s 5-2 win at Metz to take his tally to four goals in three appearances. The visitors aren’t in great form and the talented Brazilian can capitalise.
Alex: Auxerre have the worst away record in the top flight. They have earned only two points from a possible 27 on the road. Toulouse have won four of their last five league fixtures and look good value to take the spoils on Sunday.
Enda: Under-fire boss Thomas Frank has overseen just two home league wins in 11 attempts. City should likely prove too strong and pick up their third straight win at this ground. However, Spurs have found the net in 10 straight home games in all competitions while both teams have scored in nine of Tottenham’s last 13 Premier League assignments.
Gareth: Sociedad are unbeaten in five and have won their last three, while Bilbao are going through a miserable spell of just one win in their last 11 across all competitions.
Both Teams to Score Accumulator Tip
Rangers return from a visit to Portugal aiming to continue some free-scoring form in the Premiership, but they visits a Hibs side that averages two goals per game at home.
Both teams have scored in Genk’s last eight league games, and they should be tested at bottom club Dender. The hosts have made themselves competitive in the league, and they meet a Genk side who have conceded in 10 of their 11 away trips.
BTTS has landed in Andorra’s last fur games, and the visitors have been a real threat on their travels this season. Castellon have put together a fine winning run at home to sit second, but the visitors have scored and conceded in all of their visits to sides in the top half.
Club Brugge have seen BTTS land in six straight games, and they’ve beaten Zulte-Waregem 4-3 and Genk 5-3 across their last three matches. They take that fine scoring record to the league leaders in a key clash at the top, and both sides are capable of getting on the scoresheet.
Go Ahead Eagles have seen both teams score in seven of their last eight games, and they head into this clash having scored in all but two of their trips. Volendam have conceded 35 goals in 20 matches, but they’ve only failed to score once at home.
Tottenham vs Man City Ultimate Bet Builder
Antoine Semenyo 1+ shots on target
Semenyo has recorded a shot on target in 10 of his last 12 games, including three of his first four games for City. The winger has scored in four of his last five appearances, including a strike against Tottenham in his final game for Bournemouth. Across two meetings with Spurs for the Cherries, Semenyo had a shot on target in each.
Antoine Semenyo to commit 2+ fouls
Semenyo has made two fouls in two of his last three games for City, including a visit to Newcastle in the EFL Cup. He made two fouls in both clashes with Spurs for Bournemouth this term, and the winger has made 43 fouls across 25 club appearances this season.
Conor Gallagher to be shown a card
Gallagher accumulated 37 bookings across his last four Premier League seasons, and he’s moved to a Tottenham team who lead the league in yellow cards shown this term. The midfielder faces a real test against this City side, so back him for a first card for his new club.
Micky van de Ven to be shown a card
The Dutchman has picked up five of his six Premier League yellow cards at home this season, and he’s been booked on seven occasions at home across all competitions. With two bookings in his last three league starts, back van de Ven for another card.
Evening Accumulator Tip
Juve are in fine form with eight wins in their last 11 games and they should be able to claim the spoils at Parma, who have lost three of their last five at home. Parma have the worst attack in the division and have failed to score in three successive games.
Strasbourg are on an eight-game unbeaten run across all competitions and they can extend that with at least a point against PSG. Le Racing held the Parisians to a 3-3 draw in the reverse fixture and could be facing the league leaders at the right time, as PSG have failed to win four of their last six games and had a midweek European fixture.
Tondela have lost six of their last seven league games, and they were beaten 3-0 in the first meeting between these two sides. Benfica’s midweek thriller followed a run of scoring nine times in their last three league games, so back a few goals in this contest.
Correct Score Double Tip
PSG score on average over two goals per-game and Strasbourg have an impressive strike rate themselves as they average 1.7 goals per-game in this competition.
A Sociedad win is expected but Bilbao should be able to get on the scoresheet. The visitors have gone nine games without a shut-out and both teams have scored in Bilbao’s last five, so a 2-1 win for the visitors seems a reasonable score prediction.
Bet to Net Best Bet Tip
Mikel Oyarzabal scored twice for Sociedad in the win over Celta Vigo last time out and was also on target in the win over Barcelona. He can extend his scoring streak to three games in Bilbao.
Burnley vs Sunderland Bet Builder Tip
Brian Brobbey to score
Brian Brobbey has been a regular starter for Sunderland since mid-December and has found his form of late.
His consolation against West Ham last time out put him on three goals in his last four starts for the Black Cats, and he can add to that against the struggling Burnley.
Enzo Le Fee to have 2+ shots
Only Wilson Isidor has had more shots for Sunderland this season than Enzo Le Fee, and the in-form Frenchman has been a huge creative outlet for the club.
He has had nine shots in his last four games and has registered at least two shots in three of these, and he comes up against a Burnley side that have allowed their opponents a Premier League-high 393 shots this season.
Jaidon Anthony to have 2+ shots
Jaidon Anthony leads the way for shots for Burnley this season, with his two attempts against Tottenham making it 27 in all competitions.
The 26-year-old has had two or more shots in each of his last four appearances, hitting the target three times and scoring twice.
Reinildo Mandava to be shown a card
Reinildo Mandava has averaged a card every 231 minutes in the Premier League this season, with the Sunderland left-back being booked for the fifth time against West Ham last time out.
Mandava has picked up four of these cards in his last seven appearances for the Black Cats, as well as a booking for Mozambique in the Africa Cup of Nations for good measure.
Florentino Luis to commit 2+ fouls
Florentino Luis has committed more fouls than any other Burnley player this season, averaging 1.66 fouls per 90 minutes in the Premier League.
He has committed two or more offenses in three of his last four starts for the club and has only not committed a foul in one of his 18 starts this season.
World Cup 26 & Champions League Double Tip
Liverpool look like the best value pick, with the Reds putting their struggles behind them with an eight-game unbeaten run. The Reds have the fourth-best Expected Goals record across the first six Champions League gameweeks, while they’ve recorded back-to-back 1-0 wins over Real Madrid and Inter Milan in Europe. Arne Slot’s side have a kind double-header in January, leaving them primed for a top-eight finish. With the Premier League coasting towards a fifth Champions League berth, the Reds should be in a good position to focus on European success in the spring.
Spain have some incredibly talented individuals, Lamine Yamal being the prime example, but are strong in all areas and don’t have any particular weaknesses. They won Euro 2024 with relative ease and they should be too good for their continental rivals at the World Cup. They also look a level above South American heavyweights Argentina and Brazil, suggesting they will be the team to beat at the World Cup this summer.
Both Teams to Score Long Haul Accumulator
Blackpool have scored in their last nine League One games, while they’ve netted 23 goals across their 14 games at Bloomfield Road. However, only two sides in the third tier have conceded more goals than Blackpool’s 39. Opponents Stockport have found the net in 10 of their 13 away games this term, but all of the visitors’ away clean sheets have come against teams in the relegation zone.
Barcelona haven’t kept a clean sheet in their seven Champions League games this term. The Catalans have conceded at home to Olympiakos and Eintracht Frankfurt, and they host a Copenhagen side who are pushing to make the top 24 after winning 3-2 against Villarreal last time out.
Feyenoord have conceded 13 times across their seven League Phase games, while they were beaten 4-3 at FCSB in their last European trip. Betis have scored twice in all three of their home games in the Europa League this term, but the visitors need a win to avoid elimination.
BTTS has landed in 10 of 14 Genoa games since Patrick Viera was sacked, and they head to a Lazio side who have scored 13 times in their six home clashes with sides below them.
Wolves have conceded the second-highest number of goals at home, while Bournemouth have shipped the most goals away. BTTS has landed in the visitors’ last eight games, while Wolves can threaten after an upturn in performances under Rob Edwards.
Rangers return from a visit to Portugal aiming to continue some free-scoring form in the Premiership, but they visits a Hibs side that averages two goals per game at home.
Goals Galore Accumulator Tip
Real Madrid games at the Bernabeu often deliver entertainment, and this matchup sets up well for goals. Carlo Ancelotti’s side have scored in eight of their last nine league games and have won their last three La Liga home matches. Rayo Vallecano arrive out of form, with just one win in ten league games and four defeats in their last five away. Four of Rayo’s 11 away matches have produced four or more goals, which strengthens the case for over 3.5.
Borussia Dortmund games are delivering goals on a regular basis and that trend should continue against Heidenheim. Dortmund have scored in 19 Bundesliga matches this season, more than any other side, and their last four league games have all cleared the over 2.5 goals line. Heidenheim’s defensive record points the same way, having conceded a league-high 42 goals and failed to keep a clean sheet in nine straight away games. With Dortmund in winning form and Heidenheim leaking goals, another open contest looks likely.
Tondela have lost six of their last seven league games, and they were beaten 3-0 in the first meeting between these two sides. Benfica’s midweek thriller followed a run of scoring nine times in their last three league games, so back a few goals in this contest.
Afternoon Accumulator Tip
Real Madrid games at the Bernabeu often deliver entertainment, and this matchup sets up well for goals. Carlo Ancelotti’s side have scored in eight of their last nine league games and have won their last three La Liga home matches. Rayo Vallecano arrive out of form, with just one win in ten league games and four defeats in their last five away. Four of Rayo’s 11 away matches have produced four or more goals, which strengthens the case for over 3.5.
PSV top the Eredivisie with 17 wins from 20 games and have won five of their last six home league matches. They’ve scored a league-high 61 goals, averaging close to four per game against top-half sides. Feyenoord have failed to keep a clean sheet in 13 of their last 15 matches.
Aston Villa are just four points off the Premier League top spot and have won 12 of their last 13 home games. They face a Brentford side that excel at home, but the Bees have the 16th-best Premier League away record and have lost eight of their 11 trips.
Lyon have won eight of their last ten Ligue 1 home games and come into this match on a run of three straight home victories. They sit one place above Lille with four more points and have won 11 of 19 league games. Lille arrive on a three-match losing run and have conceded 17 away goals.
Both Teams to Score & Win Double Tip
PSV have won 17 of their 20 matches this season, and they host a Feyenoord side who have lost all of their clashes with the top four. Both teams have scored in seven of the visitors’ last eight, while PSV have kept one home clean sheet this season.
Celtic should still have too much quality at home, even if their defence has been less convincing lately. They have scored freely at Parkhead, while Falkirk arrive in decent nick after winning four of their last six games and a recent 2-0 away success. Celtic have won the last two Premiership meetings between the sides and usually create plenty of chances in these fixtures. Falkirk can make their mark, but Celtic’s firepower should tell.
