Football Betting Tips
World Cup 26 & Champions League Double Tip
Liverpool look like the best value pick, with the Reds putting their struggles behind them with an eight-game unbeaten run. The Reds have the fourth-best Expected Goals record across the first six Champions League gameweeks, while they’ve recorded back-to-back 1-0 wins over Real Madrid and Inter Milan in Europe. Arne Slot’s side have a kind double-header in January, leaving them primed for a top-eight finish. With the Premier League coasting towards a fifth Champions League berth, the Reds should be in a good position to focus on European success in the spring.
Spain have some incredibly talented individuals, Lamine Yamal being the prime example, but are strong in all areas and don’t have any particular weaknesses. They won Euro 2024 with relative ease and they should be too good for their continental rivals at the World Cup. They also look a level above South American heavyweights Argentina and Brazil, suggesting they will be the team to beat at the World Cup this summer.
Mega Accumulator Tip
Bradford have been in mixed form but their troubles have come almost exclusively away from home. The Bantams have won six of their last seven at home, and they beat Stockport in the reverse fixture earlier in the season. Bradford can make home advantage count and claim three points against a direct rival on Tuesday.
This is a key game in the League One relegation battle and goals at both ends looks likely when these two leaky defences meet. Burton have shipped 45 goals in 30 games, while Rotherham have conceded 43 in 29. Both teams have scored in each of Burton’s last six games and in three of the Millers’ last five.
Crewe are unbeaten in five overall and have won their last three games. The Alex should be able to see off out of form Fleetwood, who have seven defeats in their last nine games. The Cod Army may be going through a poor run but goals haven’t been the issue and both teams have scored in each of their last seven games. Crewe have conceded in eight of their last 10 at home so back the hosts to win and concede.
Scunthorpe lost 6-3 to Boston over the weekend and more goals could be in store when they head to title hopefuls Rochdale. The Iron have seen over 3.5 goals land in five of their last six National League games, they have scored in all of those and conceded in five. Dale have scored multiple goals in four of their last five home games so these sides can combine for at least four goals.
Monaco beat PSG 1-0 at home this term, and they’ve won three of their last five home meetings with PSG. The visitors fell to a 3-1 loss to Rennes on Friday, falling off top spot in Ligue 1, and they failed to win their two Champions League games last month. The hosts were unbeaten at home in the League Phase. PSG have already suffered three Ligue 1 away defeats, including 1-0 losses at Marseille and Monaco. The visitors were beaten in Lisbon in their last Champions League trip, Monaco can strike first and seize a first leg lead in this all-Ligue 1 affair.
A-League Best Bet Tip
Sydney FC lost 1-0 at Auckland earlier this month but with home advantage they can settle the score on Tuesday. The Sky Blues are in poor form but at home they have fared better with four wins in their last six, while Auckland have lost back-to-back away games.
Champions League Bet To Net Double Tip
Victor Osimhen could add to his two career strikes against Juventus, having netted six times in six appearances in this competition. He’s scored in three of his last four games for the Turkish champions, and he can punish a vulnerable Juve defence.
Serhou Guirassy has scored five goals in his last three games for Dortmund, and the striker has found the net in home wins over Villarreal and Athletic Bilbao in this competition this term.
Champions League Accumulator Tip
Juventus have been involved in some back-and-forth games of late, losing 3-2 at Inter Milan and drawing 2-2 with Lazio in their previous two matches. Galatasaray conceded in their last three home European games, but their top-heavy side should cause problems.
Benfica beat Real 4-2 at this venue in the league phase and another entertaining encounter could be on the cards on Tuesday. The La Liga giants have scored at least two goals in each of their last 14 matches, whileBenfica are unbeaten in eight of their last nine matches on home soil. With both attacks in form goals at both ends looks a strong play.
Borussia Dortmund have won six straight Bundesliga games, while they’ve won five of their last six home games in all competitions. The German side have put together impressive runs in Europe in recent seasons, and they can beat an Atalanta side that lost to Athletic Bilbao and Union Saint-Gilloise last month.
Top 10 Accumulator Tip
Stevenage claimed a key win over playoff rivals Huddersfield on Saturday, and they can follow that up with another three points against League One’s bottom side. The visitors have lost all but one of their visits to sides in the top half, and they’ve been beaten in eight of 14 away trips overall.
Mansfield are fresh from seeing off Premier League Burnley in the FA Cup and are unbeaten on their travels since November. Nigel Clough’s side will fancy their chances of winning at Blackpool, who have lost seven of their last nine.
Levante fell to their 13th defeat of the campaign on Sunday, and they meet third-placed Villarreal on Wednesday. The Yellow Submarine have won nine of their 10 meetings with sides in the bottom half.
Como have won only one of seven meetings with the top six, and they’ve already lost at home to Milan this term. The visitors have fallen short in visits to Inter and Roma, while the Rossoneri have put together a 10-game unbeaten run at home.
Inter Milan have won 11 of their last 13 games in all competitions, and Saturday’s 3-2 win over Juventus was their sixth victory on the spin. However, Bodo have scored in nine of their 10 Champions League games this term and they can find the back of the net again.
Dinamo Zagreb opened their Europa League campaign with two wins, but they barely made the knockouts after losing four of their final five matches. Genk have won their last four games, while they finished the League Phase with four wins from five.
Fiorentina won only two of seven away trips in last season’s Conference League campaign. This year, they lost half of their League Phase games. The hosts lost only one of their six games in the last round, and they could catch out a Fiorentina side who are also juggling a Serie A survival fight.
Raith have suffered five defeats in 12 home matches, which includes a 2-0 defeat to St Johnstone earlier this season. The visitors have won six of their seven visits to the league’s bottom five.
Borussia Dortmund have won six straight games in the Bundesliga, netting 18 times. RB Leipzig are winless against the top three, conceding 11 times across home and away defeats to Bayern. Leipzig have lost three of their last five home league games.
Sunderland are winless at home to the league’s top six. However, outside of that, they’ve won seven of nine games at the Stadium of Light. With visitors Fulham losing four of their last five league games, along with all seven visits to sides above them in the table, side with the hosts.
Both Teams To Score & Win Treble Tip
Wrexham have won four away matches on the bounce and have already beaten Bristol City once this season – claiming a 2-0 success at the Racecourse in November. The Robins lost 5-0 in their last home fixture against Derby and may come unstuck again. Wrexham have conceded in five of their last seven trips and may concede in victory at Ashton Gate.
Mansfield are fresh from seeing off Premier League Burnley in the FA Cup and are unbeaten on their travels since November. Nigel Clough’s side will fancy their chances of winning at Blackpool, who have lost seven of their last nine. The Tangerines have only failed to score in one of their last eight home games and can strike in defeat.
Atalanta have put together a good domestic run, while they scored in five of their last seven games in Europe. They can find the net against Dortmund, but back the high-scoring hosts to edge this one.
Goals Galore Treble Tip
Swindon have been involved in some high-scoring games lately with eight of their last 10 across all comps going over 2.5 goals. Barnet’s games haven’t been quite as entertaining but four of their last seven at home have seen at least three goals scored. Both attacks are in form and these sides can combine for at least three goals in total.
Over 2.5 goals has landed in four consecutive Doncaster home games. Huddersfield’s league one games average exactly three goals per-game, so over 2.5 goals looks a good angle in this battle between a relegation contender and a visiting team with play-off hopes.
Both Teams To Score Accumulator Tip
This is a key game in the League One relegation battle and goals at both ends looks likely when these two leaky defences meet. Burton have shipped 45 goals in 30 games, while Rotherham have conceded 43 in 29. Both teams have scored in each of Burton’s last six games and in three of the Millers’ last five.
Fleetwood are going through a poor run but goals haven’t been the issue and both teams have scored in each of their last seven games. Crewe have scored in their last 10 home league games, but have just two clean sheets during that run.
Both teams have scored in four of Sutton’s last six games and in three of Woking’s last four. The hosts have scored 39 goals in 30 games and Woking have managed one more, so both of these attacks look capable of making a breakthrough.
EFL Win Accumulator Tip
Cambridge have won six of their last seven games across all competitions and they should be able to see off out-of-sorts Colchester, who have three defeats in their last four games.
Charlton have taken seven points from the last nine available and should get the better of injury-ravaged Portsmouth, who have only won twice on the road all season and are also the Championship’s lowest away scorers.
Lincoln saw a four-game winning run ended as they drew with promotion rivals Bolton last time out but the Imps can respond with three points when they host Northampton. The Cobblers are winless in eight on their travels in League One, with five defeats.
Mansfield are fresh from seeing off Premier League Burnley in the FA Cup and are unbeaten on their travels since November. Nigel Clough’s side will fancy their chances of winning at Blackpool, who have lost seven of their last nine.
Bet Of The Day Tip
Charlton have taken seven points from the last nine available and should get the better of injury-ravaged Portsmouth, who have only won twice on the road all season and are also the Championship’s lowest away scorers.
Benfica vs Real Madrid Bet Builder Tip
Kylian Mbappe To Score Anytime
Kylian Mbappe has an outrageous 13 goals in just seven Champions League appearances this season and scored twice in Real’s 4-2 defeat at Benfica in the league phase. He may not repeat his double from his last trip to Lisbon but he looks well placed to at least score one more European goal on Tuesday night.
Leandro Barreiro To Be Shown A Card
Benfica midfielder Leandro Barreiro was booked in the league phase meeting between these sides and has a habit of picking up cards in big games, having also been shown yellow cards in domestic battles with Porto and Sporting this season.
Aurelien Tchouameni To Commit 2+ Fouls
Aurelien Tchouameni had three fouls when Real travelled to Benfica earlier in the competition. The Frenchman has also committed multiple fouls in three of his last five road appearances in La Liga.
Andreas Schjelderup To Have 1+ Shots On Target
Benfica’s Andreas Schjelderup averages 1.6 shots per-game in the Champions League and sees just over a third of those recorded as on target. The Norwegian scored twice when Real visited Lisbon, and he can at least test the keeper when these sides face off again on Tuesday.
Correct Score Double Tip
Benfica clinched their place in the Champions League playoffs in astonishing fashion last month with a 4-2 win over Real Madrid and another lively encounter can be expected when the pair meet in this rematch. The Eagles progressed on goal difference in 24th spot of the standings, only after goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin had headed in the winner deep into added time. Real will be out for revenge but wily old Benfica boss Jose Mourinho will have other ideas and this match could finish all square. Real will be desperate to exact their revenge for last month’s loss which knocked them out of the automatic qualification place but that could open up things for Benfica to create chances too. A 2-2 scoreline looks well within reach as these two slug it out in Lisbon.
PSG have already suffered three Ligue 1 away defeats, including 1-0 losses at Marseille and Monaco. The visitors were beaten in Lisbon in their last Champions League trip, while they also suffered a 1-0 defeat in the French Cup last month. Monaco kept a clean sheet in their last three home European games.
