Our experts are back and hoping to go one step further than last time out when a subpar Atletico Madrid performance let us down for a 27/1 Experts’ Acca on Sunday!

It’s not all been bad news, though. FST’s tipsters have been on fire over the past couple of weeks, hitting a huge number of big priced winners to end the month strongly.

Our Experts’ Best Bets have been smashing it, too. FST’s top trio of Aaron Rogan, Alex Wrigley and Simon Winter have landed 14 of their last 18 tips, with Alex being in the best form with a four-tip winning streak.

Anyway, without further ado let’s get down to unearthing the value in Saturday’s markets.

Lille vs Nice – Both teams to score at 1/1

Lille won 3-2 at Lyon on Sunday to keep their place at the top of Ligue 1. Their bid for the title continues on Saturday, when they host a Nice side who have a strong record against Ligue 1’s top four. The visitors have scored in five of their six clashes with them, although they’ve also conceded in all six.

Nice head into this clash having scored in nine of their last 10 on the road while Lille have seen BTTS land in three of their last four home league games. The visitors have scored away to every top half side they’ve faced so far and it’s worth backing that to continue. With Lille scoring in 88% of their home Ligue 1 games, BTTS looks well priced.

PSG vs Lens – Both teams to score at 3/4

Newly promoted Lens have been the feelgood story of the season in Ligue 1 and are still in the running for Europa League qualification. A 13-match unbeaten streak has strengthened their claim for a top five finish and a lot of plaudits can go to their attacking players.

The visitors have failed to score in only two of their away games this season and haven’t lost on the road since their first game of 2021. They have conceded in nine away days in a row though, so keeping a PSG attack that have scored in 16 of their last 18 Ligue 1 games at bay is an unlikely prospect even with the Parisiens’ expected to rotate heavily.

Besiktas vs Hatayspor – Besiktas to win at 4/7

Besiktas are motoring towards the title in Turkey and they can strengthen their position at the summit of the Super Lig table with a win at home to Hatayspor.

The visitors are no soft touch, however, Besiktas’s form on their own patch has been superb, and they have won five and drawn two of their last seven matches at Vodafone Park.

Bolton vs Exeter – Bolton to win at 23/20

A sluggish start to the season has all-but cost Bolton the League Two title, but they can seal their promotion with victory over Exeter.

The Trotters have claimed maximum points in 14 of their last 18 league matches – they are unbeaten in 11 fixtures on home soil – and they should have the measure of Exeter, whose playoff hopes have been dented following just three wins from 12 outings.

Football journalist and EFL expert at Racing Post.

Grimsby vs Port Vale – Port Vale to win at 11/10

Grimsby’s relegation to the National League was confirmed by their 3-2 defeat at Exeter on Tuesday and there seems little chance of an immediate response from the demoralised Mariners at home to 12th-placed Port Vale, who head to Cleethorpes in search of a ninth win in ten games.

A summer rebuild is being planned by Grimsby manager Paul Hurst, who must tackle the Port Vale game without injured striker James Hanson and suspended midfielder Jay Matete.

The basement boys look there for the taking and Darrell Clarke’s in-form Valiants are likely to oblige.

James Milton

Football journalist and EFL expert at Racing Post.

Wimbledon vs Portsmouth – Over 2.5 goals at 1/1

Portsmouth will be targeting maximum points from their last two League One games in order to secure a playoff spot and an open contest looks likely when they take on free-scoring AFC Wimbledon.

Both teams were involved in 3-3 draws on Tuesday – Pompey away to Accrington and Wimbledon at home to Rochdale – so combining for over 2.5 goals looks well within their capabilities this weekend.

The hosts have been in blistering attacking form, scoring 17 goals in their last six matches, and they can expect more chances given that Portsmouth cannot afford to sit back.
