AC Milan vs Juventus Predictions
- Fewer than three goals have been scored in AC Milan’s last two home games and Juventus’ last two away matches
- Juventus are unbeaten away from home in both Serie A and the Champions League this season
- Timothy Weah is set to play centre forward for Juventus against his father’s old team on Saturday
Can Juventus challenge for the title?
A tight, low-scoring game could be on the cards when title-chasing Juventus head to back to the San Siro to face AC Milan on Saturday. It is less than a month since the Old Lady left the famous old ground with a point from a 4-4 draw with Inter, but this game is likely to feature many fewer goals.
The last six meetings of these clubs have featured two goals or fewer and with both sides coming off low-scoring affairs in their respective home and away records, backing under 2.5 goals looks the way to go.
Juventus are hard to beat on the road under Thiago Motta, who has overseen four wins and three draws in his seven games in charge away from Allianz Stadium. AC Milan have reserved their two biggest performances of the campaign for away games and can be a bit hit and miss when they have the home dressing room at the San Siro.
Milan to continue great run
A 1-1 draw might be the likeliest outcome if the two teams play to form and predicting an AC Milan scorer is no job for the feint hearted right now with the Rossoneri spreading the goals around.
However, there is a great angle on a Juventus anytime scorer this weekend with Timothy Weah set to face his legendary father’s club and assume the number nine role for the first time. Weah has delivered four goals and two assists for the Bianconeri as either a false nine or a winger this season, but he clearly has an eye for goal.
His goal-scoring form continued on international duty, finding the net for the USMNT against Jamaica and he could hit the headlines in Italy this weekend if he performs well in Dusan Vlahovic’s injury absence.
