A pivotal clash in Yerevan

With Armenia and Scotland locked on three points apiece, this clash will go a long way to deciding who will end up in the relegation zone. As such, we can see this game possibly becoming a battle of attrition, as both sides desperately try to avoid defeat in their respective quests for Nations League success.

Armenia have been one of the biggest surprises of this tournament since it’s inception, registering back-to-back promotions to reach where they are now. However, anything less than victory will leave any slim hopes of a third straight promotion looking almost dead in the water.

On the other hand, Scotland have played one fewer game than Armenia and could yet give promotion a good shot if they can win this game. They come into this on the back of a shocking 3-0 defeat though and with rumours of assistant manager John Carver leaving, morale in the Scotland camp may be affected.

A tough encounter for both nations

Scotland can take stock from the fact that their only win in this group so far came against Armenia, but that was by a 2-0 margin and they may well face more resistance in Yerevan, especially with a group of players that looked tired after a long club season last time out.

We predict that this will be a low scoring game with under 2.5 total goals, though for smaller stakes we are backing the Scots to get the job done by a mere 1-0 scoreline as the quality throughout is simply a cut above that of Armenia.
