Aston Villa vs Watford Predictions
It’s really not looking good for Aston Villa at the moment. They won their opening Premier League match of the season against newly promoted Bournemouth, but they haven’t tasted victory since then.
This makes it 12 Premier League games without a win, which leaves them rock bottom of the league with a measly five points from their opening 13 games.
Ten of their 13 matches have ended in defeat, mainly due to their completely ineffectual attack. Villa have only managed to score ten goals so far, and really never look like they’re going to grab a goal.
They are five points away from safety, but a win on Saturday could take them to within a point of 19th place Sunderland.
Watford are hoping to further distance themselves from the relegation zone with a win on Saturday, and if they take all three points then they could move as high as 10th in the table.
Watford have lost their last two league games, but to be fair to them they have played against Leicester and Manchester United, both of which they put up a very good fight against.
Before this they had won two matches on the bounce against Stoke and West Ham, and their early season mental scoring block seems to be behind them.
They have scored in seven of their last nine Premier League games, and they’re coming up against an Aston Villa side who have conceded 24 goals and struggle to score themselves.
This makes a win for the visitors look very likely, and the fact that Watford held their own against Man United and Leicester will have given them a bit of a boost of confidence. Not to mention the excellent form of Odion Ighalo and captain Troy Deeney finally getting off the mark.
This makes odds of 2.000 for a Watford 0.0 Asian Handicap Win look incredibly good value, and that’s where my money is going.
