Atlanta Braves vs New York Yankees Predictions

It hasn’t been a great stretch for Atlanta Braves pitcher Matt Wisler. His team are all but out of the running for anything significant and they’ve won just one of their last 10 games. It was summed up in the first game of their series against the Yankees when New York’s ice cold hitters exploded by scoring 15 runs.

They might consider using a similar left-hand dominated lineup against Wisler, who has seriously struggled against left-hand hitters since making his MLB debut in June. 29 of Wisler’s 41 strikeouts have come against right-handers, while left-handers have hit nine home runs for an average of .357.

Beltran, Gardner, Headley, McCann and Gregorious all had big games last night. They had scored just six runs in the previous four games and there were some concerns about falling out of touch with the surging Blue Jays.

Rookie pitcher Luis Severino has looked like a player who has belonged since coming in for Pineda in the Yankees’ rotation. New York are double thankful for his strong performance with CC Sabathia now on the injured reserve. In four starts, he has posted a 1-2 record with a 2.74 ERA. He’s given New York six innings in three straight games and they’ll take a similar output tonight.

      Three Reasons for Betting Tips

      1. Left-handers vs Wisler

Wisler hasn’t done well against left-handed hitters and we’re expecting Yankees’ manager Joe Girardi to play on that, especially after last night’s performance, with his lineup choices tonight.

      2. Yankees’ hitting form

They were a little cold for a while, but New York’s lineup is one of the better in the MLB. They’ve scored 604, second only to Toronto, and there’s no reason to think that last night’s performance won’t represent the beginning of a better run of form for this lineup.

      3. Severino’s rookie slip up

Severino has pitched well, but it’s very early on in his career to start guaranteeing six solid innings. He has some good quality pitches and looks to have a promising future, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see a least a couple of hiccups along the way.
