Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Bayer Leverkusen, who have scored in twelve games in a row, have seen both teams score in seven of their ten fixtures this season, while Frankfurt’s last three away matches have also seen both teams score, as have five of their last seven fixtures at all venues.

Draw 2-2

Reason for tip

Bayer drew 2-2 with Holstein Kiel before the international break, the seventh time this season they have scored at least twice, while they have conceded two or more on five occasions. Frankfurt, meanwhile, have scored at least twice in three in a row on the road, while conceding exactly twice in two of their last four away games.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Eintracht Frankfurt Predictions

  • Five of Bayer Leverkusen’s last seven outings have seen both teams score
  • Both teams have netted in six of Frankfurt’s last seven fixtures
  • Bayer have scored in a dozen successive matches

Bayer still searching for their A game

Bayer Leverkusen have certainly not hit the level of last season’s title winning campaign yet, with Xabi Alonso’s side particularly showing a defensive weakness that opposition teams have looked to exploit.

The 2023/24 Bundesliga champions have only kept three clean sheets across their ten competitive fixtures so far, with seven of those clashes seeing both teams score.

That also shows Bayer’s consistency going forward though, and they have in fact netted in a dozen successive outings, dating back to losing the UEFA Europa League final last season.

Frankfurt hoping to build on strong start

That is not good news for visitors Frankfurt, who themselves have only kept one clean sheet from their last 16 games across all competitions.

13 of those matches have seen both teams score, including the last four, a run which has seen Dino Toppmöller’s side draw 3-3 with Bayern Munich and Viktoria Plzen.

Goals are therefore following them around, especially on the road, where they have won three in a row, each of which have seen both teams net.

I predict that both teams will score in this game, with a 2-2 draw my correct score prediction.
